Walk, Ride a bike, Carpool or Use public transportation instead of driving your own car
Change your lightbulbs and high energy appliances to more energy efficiant ones. Turn off lights and unplug appliances that aren't in use.
Grow your own food! Plant an indoor our outdoor garden with some of the herbs and vegetables that you use the most
Reduce Reuse Recycle
Go vegetarian or vegan if possible. If its not possible to go completely vegetarian then cut down your meat intake to one or two meals per week
Eat local food as much as possible.
Turn your old clothes and blankets into something else like new clothes, quilts, pillows, toys or anything else you can think of. Or just turn them into rags for cleaning.
Use bio or eco friendly cleaning supplies. If you can't afford to buy eco cleaners, make your own from an internet recipe.
Buy clothing from charity shops or used clothing stores. There are usually some good finds and they are pretty cheap too.
