Why is Artificial Intelligence interesting to me? I find Artifitial Intelligence such an interesting topic because it really makes me want to find out how A.I. works and functions; how it can help us humans in our everyday life; and how it began. Scientists and mechanics are working together to try and produce new robots and programs to help humans in their everyday life. Such as Rosie the maid robot by Toyota (named after Rosie from The Jetsons). This robot can pick up rubbish, empty the trash and even vaccuum the house! This research fascinates me because I want to find out new ways that robots could help us humans in many ways.
Here are some pictures showing how far Artificial Intelligence has come from since the first stages of A.I. Picture 1 shows the prototype of the Honda Asimo Humanoid Robot. In picture 2, the Asimo had left its prototype stages and was programmed to do much more things. In picture 3, it is showing Rosie the robot maid by Toyota. At that stage, the study of Artifictial Intelligence had payed off. The robot was able to do many things; such as cleaning the house, ironing clothes and even cooking food! Rosie the robot could do much more things than the earlier robot 'Asimo'.
What is Artifical Intelligence? It is the engineering of mechanical intelligent machines. For example, a robot or chatbot on a computer. Alan Turing was the first to come up with the process of Artificial Intelligence in 1947. The idea was try to make a machine function as close as a normal human being would. Artificial intelligence is already beuing used in our society. The Honda Asimo Humanoid robot for example has the ability to walk down stairs, play soccer and even hand someone coffee. Artificial Intelligence is still at it's early stages, but scientists are developing more into A.I
