It's time to stop smoking.
Tobacco use causes many different kinds of cancer- not only lung cancer. There is mouth, throat, pancreas, bladder, kidney and cervix. There's also respiratory and heart disease.
A Canadian dies every 12 minutes of a tobacco related disease.
One tree is lost for every 300 cigarettes manufactured.
Over 1,000 non-smokers will die this year in Canada due to tobacco use: 300 lung cancer deaths and at least 700 deaths from coronary heart disease from second-hand smoke.
Tobacco smoke kills over 37,000 people in Canada each year.
