Civil Rights
Rise to femminism
John F. Kennedy as President
Vietnam war
Despite his 'lack of experience' JFK proved to be one of the best president in history
He was one of the first presidents that wanted everything to become peaceful, we join as one. He was an avid supporter of the civil rights movement. This is helped in today because with his strong support, the civil rights movement may not have got as far as it did. And minorities still might be fighting for their equal rights today. We wouldn't have even had our first black president without the support of our president back in the 60's.
Our economy back then was in a boost thanks to him. His inspiring goals lead us swiftly through the 60's. It was his dreams and aspirations of back then that is helping our current leader to look back and get us out of the recession the republican administration has put us through.
Politically wise, without JFK as our president, who knows what would have happened between us and Cuba. The Cuban missiles crisis was a big deal and impact back then. I think it may have helped us today to know not to mess with Cuba anymore, but also because of their acts of threatening us with nuclear war we are no longer able to trade with them.
A movement so greatly inspirational, it completely changed everything,
I believe that the civil rights movement helped in our economy in the fact that we have more people to give jobs to, more people spending and making the economy better. Yet, it could have its negative effects to in the fact that when we go through bad times, it just means more to the unemployment rate. .
The civil rights movement is simple enough within itself and what it has done to change out world today for minorities. Without this movement, black people, Mexican people, any other person that was not white, would not be equal today. Meaning there'd be no voting for them, sitting in the back of the bus, slavery jobs still occurring.
It's rather obvious on the affects of the civil rights movement in political terms. Thanks to the minorities getting their equal rights, we finally moved a step further in our humanity as into electing our first black president. It really shows how we as American people are beginning to unite as one.
Even before the time has come, back in the world war when there were no men around, Women really stepped up, It didn't change anything but this helped the dawn of feminism.
Women have constantly over the years have fought for their rights. Today women still struggled through the battle but females now have more right. In fact, we were close to having a female president or female vice president which is really something for a woman. The struggle is still on but if minority men have gone as far to actually become president, but it’s a step upward.
Women back then proved that they are very useful towards the economy. They work well and just as fast or even faster as any male. This makes it well for female workers today and for the economy. With females working and how fast they can work, it must help supply things faster, making the economy grow more possibly. Women not working definately could make past recessions, this ressicion, and even future recessions worse.
As far as war goes, if worse came worse during this Iraqi conflict and all men had to be shipped off to war, women could do the job. If Hillary Clinton had become the democratic nominee, and became president, she could have proved to be a wonderful president as a woman. She had this chance thanks to the feminist movement for women equal rights.
One of the most despised wars ever
This war was affected minorities in a way today that when you look back on it, and see the many minorities that participated war, was... this was how my kind was really treated? Minorities were poor and rich white men were able to avoid the draft that sent the men out to war. I think for future reference if there happens to be another draft, it won't be based on race, but of course an equality choosing.
The Vietnam War was probably one of those wars people look back and wish to never experience again. With how the soldiers were treated upon their coming home, I think the people of today look back on it and hopefully most now realize its not their choice to be there but the government making them be there. Hopefully the government can look back on this now and make sure this does not happen with the current 'War' we are in.
Economic affected of the Vietnam War not happening may have meant maybe the recession the world is going through now may have come sooner. After the Vietnam War, because we had been in one before it was already having us spiraling down? The economy would have had to fail sooner or later. And in the 20th century maybe it would have been sooner, like before Bush took office.
