Coral Reefs
Coral reefs act as costal bariers that seperate costal waters from the big oceans.
Coral is made out of little animals called 'polyps' they join together to make the coral. As they die thier body stays there and more polyps grow and live on top of it causeing the coral to grow. It can grow about one centermetere a year.
The Great barrier reef. the great barrier reef is located in north - eastern Austrailia and runs more or less parallel to the coastline of the state of queensland.
