did you know? dolphins sleep with one eye open. i am a dolphin. because if i were to close both eyes i couldnt see. i couldnt see her. i couldnt prepare myself. brace myself for the blows. but sometimes, i close both eyes. its easier that way. i dont want to see the rage in her eyes. i dont want to see the cuts the bruises the fear in the mirror's eyes.
