we didnt fight often, he and i. but when we did, it was a raging tornado. WARNING: STAY AWAY. he got very mad very easily. i tried my best to make him happy. but every once in a while, i didn't try hard enough. he yells when he gets mad. his face turns red and his left eye starts to twitch. he has this specific tone of voice that tells me when he's upset. WARNING: STAY AWAY. at first, he would just yell at me. then, slowly, he started to throw things. broken lamps i told my parents the dog broke. smashed dishes i said i dropped. it scared me, when he did this. but i got so used to his outbreaks that i didnt think twice the first time he hit me. and the second time, i simply picked myself up off the ground and walked home in the rain. by the third time, it was a pattern. WARNING: STAY AWAY. he'd yell at me for talking to another guy or for being late. i'd apologize, shaking with fear. then, fast as lightning, his hand would lash out knocking me to the ground. it's really no big deal. i just wear long sleeves and long pants and take alot of tylenol. i couldnt stand losing him. i know i'm lucky to be with someone like him. i feel girls' envious eyes on me as we walk down the street together. i smile at them, acknowledging their jealousy. but i feel like whispering WARNING: STAY AWAY.
