We visted the Erie Art Museum as a class, and as we began our tour throughout the Museum, we found types of art in which we had to engage with. One piece of art which interests the majority of the class was the replica of the Avalon Museum. It allowed us to engage with the art work as we began to exchange our notices and findings within the work of art. Some of our findings included: *Realistic *Detailed *Scaled down (1/3) *Facial expressions*Different for each character *Upset*Tired*Drugged out*Inappropriately dressed. As a group we deicided that the culture was diverse as well as the diner scene we predicted to be noisy as well as smelling like a diner and old people. This type of art work is great to engage students with. It allows the class as a whole to exchange ideas and their own perspectives with eachother. The avalon is art which is ment to be talked about and for people to throw their ideas out there as well as becoming the art as well as if the viewer were apart of the diner scene. This art has stuck with me throughout the course due to the fact how engaging it was and how many ideas sprung from it. Aesthetic Education is about using your five sences and to engage with any type of art work it may be. Using a piece of art like the Avalon Dinerin the classroom can help the students understand how important perception is and how we view the world around us is actually art.
