Depression, Thats a word we hear alot these days. It has almost become a common term, I'm sure you have heard it. You have probably heard "You seem so depressed" or "Thats so depressing". We all tend to use depressed to mean sad or down. But depression has a greater meaning then just sad.

An illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts, that affects the way a person eats and sleeps, the way one feels about oneself, and the way one thinks about things.

It is important that society becomes well versed in the effects of depression as depression effects your life and the people around you. Depression can be treated medically and through therapy, it is important not to feel ashamed of depression. Get help and stay strong.
