I sit here and stare in wonder
Think about what it would be like to have another
Watch the couples go by smiling, laughing, having a great time with each other
My heart waits, for one beating in sync with itself
The ache and pain in my side, the longing in my heart
I sit alone and fall apart
My eyes go blank and my brain kicks in
Thinking what it would be like, to be whole again
A tear comes across my eye as I sit there and wonder why
Why I can't find someone to love me for me
If only for a little, a whole year, more.
Just someone to hold, to love
To be there when I return, just there to have fun
Where is my .........love?
