The holocaust was a time in history where more than 6 million jews were annihilated in all of europe only about 3 million survived. It all started when Adolf Hitler came into Power and demanded that everyone who was different than him to be killed...That resulted in mass murder...

Here is where Daniel and his family lived. most of them were transported to these death camps.Daniels aunt and little nieces were being taken away by the green police but the struggled to leave so they were executed right in front of her own family.. they were taken to awchwitz and buchenwald camp.

It all started off when Hitler came into power and promised Europe that he would make everything normal again after the World War. But who knew that he would make the Jews lives a living hell.

This web page is about remebering the holocaust and the great read Daniels Story By: Carol Matas. this book was about living through the Holocaust and how its was like being in hiding from the Nazis and The Green Police.

Daniel and his family were living a good life untill the holocaust. all through the book Daniel meets new people and tries to survive and not get taken away. It was hard times for all Jews and Daniel wanted to do something about it but he finally realizes there is not much he can do. what he does do is he helped other people stay alive by bringing extra wood or food to people even when he needed it.
