here i am a top cloud nine, the air up here is so entwined the the scent of the stars, and the faint hint of lemon bars. below a whole world glows, i see the days go passing by and i am seeing a single life in a perspective that i do not enjoy. a top cloud nine and in my mind i see a girl, so young so reckless so beautiful so helpless. i see the boy that she loves. but i see something in his eyes a fire that cannot be drenched i saw him grow stronger and my fist clenched. with a swing of his arm he sent the girl t the ground. i watched this go on and on until i shed a single tear, i felt as though she could hear me cry whenever she looked up into the sky. one day it began to rain and i looked upon this girl as she walked in the rain, dripping and slipping farther away, i saw the boy and knew today was the day. i see his face and how he grabbed her. today would not be the same she wouldn't have to play his game. i dropped a top from cloud nine just in time, i went to this girl and i took her away from her darkest of days. i brought her back to my cloud up in the stars, so no one knows who we are, i lay her in my bed to stay warm. and when she awoke she asked to never leave, i hoped she would say that because i do agree. and here we live now on our snow white cloud looking upon the world watching and waiting, dreaming and beaming shooting stars down to earth watching time go by on our perfect cloud nine. by: Jamie Everhart
