An atheist am i. only reaching for the sky, i'll never die as long as i control myself. no heaven no hell. no need to dwell in the differences that drive us. when hate runs the world. i grabbed the sun and shined it on my friends. they are happy knowing that im the light that they can follow anytime they need to. but when it's just me and you. you talk that way to me say im nothing because i don't perceive what you believe. sometimes i wish i was sitting on a dock, at anytime i could walk off and watch the light fade as i sink below the surface. then in my mind time flies by and i remember that i am the light, there's no escaping myself. as i did the sun i grab myself and pull until i break the surface. i don't believe what you force on me and that's why im so happy. i don't need a god to forgive me, because i regret nothing, i don't need a god to control my life because, i can do it myself, better. i don't need to get my hopes up for a heaven, only to be let down in the end. when i die i'll know this life was mine i earned it, i learned it. it makes me feel comfortable to think this isn't just a test. it makes me live to my fullest. grabbing every moment the sun gives me, then stealing the stars at night. nothing will stop me nothing will drop my spirits, i am me that's all i'll ever be and who i end up to be. . . . is fine with me. -Jamie Everhart

i love this. i think wat u said in ur poem is true. no1 can pull u down n make u believe in wat they believe in. its up 2 u n wat u want 2 believe in.
