The Fourteenth Amendment

On July 28,1868 the 14th amendment was ratified

the amendment grants citizenship to all people born or naturalized in the United States. Which includes former slaves who had been freed after the civil war.

the 14th amendment if it hadnt been used we wouldn't have been able to live like we have. We wouldn't be americans for sure. we would live the life of immagrants. non citizen.

i believe the civil rights movement is a lot like the 14th amendment. It say that they are both being equal. it is a right that says they are equl.

the fourteenth amendment was enacted after the civil war. Intended to provide more rights to african americans. After a certain time is was interpreted to grant a number of rights to even more people that live in the united states.
