Mary J. Blige was born in the Bronx, New York. She is the second child of four. Her parents Cora, a nurse, Thomas Blige, a jazz musician. Blige was taught to sing by her father, who later abandoned Blige and sister Latonya following his divorce from Cora Blige in 1980. She spent her early years in Richmond Hill, Georgia, where she sand in a Pentecostal church. She later moved to Schlobohm Apartments in Yonker, New Yorkm where she lived with her mother, older sister, five cousin, and two aunts. She dropped out of Roosevelt High School in the 11th grade.
I would have to say Mary is a leader because she leads many females inthe right direction. For example, "Runaway Love" is the third single released from Ludacris fifth album, Release Therapy (2007). The song, features Mary J. Blige on the Vocals. I see Mary as a leader because in this song you see Mary being a big help in these females life. Helping them out through all of the bad times. This song made it number two on the Hot 100 Billboard.

I would say that Mary is an Communicator, and she is open-minded.She may have done terrible things in the past such as being strung out on drugs. Now Mary is known as the Queen of Hip-Hop.

Mary has been through much. She really expire me, through the time she has said no more drama, no more pain. She is tired. And with her always sticking to people side no matter what, I have always wanted to be like that. I truly know she has the potential to help females all around the nation get up on their feet and make a good living and be the women that they are.She makes you feel woman. That is what I basically learned from Mary.
Mary J. Blige will always be strong. She will never have any more pain then she has done before. With her, now coming out with the perfume "My Life" which was released in stores last year in July, I think she will continue being the strong woman that she is now. Hopefuly Mary will keep this up until she pass, but after all is done, Mary is the #1 leader in my life.
