The light shimmered through the dark green tree-tops of the forest, shinning light on the blossming flowers below. Letting the mud slip through my bare toes, I ran away from the russling noises behind me. I ran through the dimming light as fast as I could from what could be my killer. The was he and tossed me around like some kind of rag doll. He tasted my blood, and now he was hungry for more.I ran until I was sure the sound flece rubbing againts shubs and foot steps pounding in the mud were faint. Until my heart stopped racing, I took small steps toward the large tree in the middle of the yard. I took a deep breath and looked around. I paced myself and ran to the back door of my house a mile away. The pounding of my heart, the soft sounds of the summer night had me tranquil as I ran and reached for the door handle. I walked in the door with my mother's faced shocked. She was standing in the kitchen with tears in her dark blue eyes and the buzzing noise from the kitchen light broke the slicence between my mother and me. She searched my scrached face, looked at my ripped clothing, and my bleeding from my head. I started to cry and we fell into eachothers arm. Her questions were muffled by my sweater she was sobbing into. I sat her down at the wooden maoganuy table, and told her everything. I was in danger, from then man in the flece jacket. A knock at the old pine wood door startled my mother and me. I stayed at the tabled sipping my to hot to enjoy tea. Mother opened the door and a man facing toward the yard was at the door. I reconized his burgandy flece jacket as he turned around. I screamed as if I was winning something, but I was losing something. The man quickly applied a mask as if he wasn't planning this unexpeted scream. My scream was a distraction for my mother as the man in the flece jacket turned around and shot my mother with is silver pistol. As I hear the gun shot I darted for the front door as fast as I could. I had trouble opening the bronze knob, as I heard the slipping sounds of footsteps on the brand new polished hard wood floor. I swiftly opened the door and slammed it behind me. I ran through the pounding rain, wittnessing my dark brown eyes tear up. I ran as fast as I could letting my sweater and shorts soak the rain up. I stood in the middle of the street, on the faded yellow line crying my eyes out. I continued to run. I ran until I found a pay phone in town, the deep ocean blue pay phone just steps away from me. I searched my pockets in hope of finding a quarter, I struggled to find one, and was lucky enough to. I finally found an old faded quarter. With my trembling hands, I slowly placed the quarter in the coin slot. I took a long and deep breath, trying to calm my self and put the phone up to my ear. I dialed the numbers, 9-1-1 on the black buttons of the pay phone. It rang one short time and I heard a man's voice speak clearly.
