1. When our explorer was born is... 1441, he was born in Genoa, Italy, he sailed for Spain... he was born on October 31st. 2. The country that our explorer was born in is... Italy 3. The european country that gave him the money to go on his voyage is.... Spain... the money was given to him by King Ferdinan and Queen Isabella. 4. When Christopher Culumbus' main voyage was in... 1492 and he made another voyage in 1493.

5. Christopher Columbus was 48 years old when he made his first voyage. 6. When Columbus got back from his voyage to the "Indies" people were starting to believe him because he brought back gold, silk, servents, different foods, ect... some people still didn't believe him so King Ferdinan and Queen Isabella wanted him to go back so that he could bring them more things for Spain. 7. When Columbus first thought that the world was round no one had ever believed him or gone west far enough "off the end of the world".
8. The modern-day country that Christopher Columbus traveled to was modern-day Cuba... while Columbus was on his voyage he had a little trouble finding a crew... his theroy was that if everyone in Europe wanted an all water route to the Indies that he could travel so far west to prove that the world was round and get to the Indies. When he was on his voyage one of his three ships sprung a leak so then he stopped on the coast of Africa to get some help then he was on his way to the "Indies" or so he and his Portuguese crew thought... they were really heading for modern-day cuba.
9. Christopher Columbus sadly died in 1506... 18 years after his first voyage to the "Indies". 10. What we feel about Columbus was that his greatest achevement was that he brought Spain great wealth that we still have today.
