Conserve Christianity Our mission is to protect the Christians who are terrorized in parts of India. Hindu's have been persecuting them because of their religion, and we plan to protect the Christians in India; a group of people seeking protection from violence.
Persecution in Orissa, India
The attack on Christians in the State of Orissa in India has been going on for nearly a year. The Sikh Prime minister has stated that they’re "acts of national shame." Hindu mobs are attacking villages where Christians reside and killing dozens of people and destroying churches. Leaving many Christians homeless forcing them to live in the deep forests until it is safe. "We are very much under threat," said New Delhi Archbishop, 80 percent of 80 percent of India's 1.1 billion people are Hindu but India is secular and that is often played by the government. Most Muslims make up fourteen percent of India and Christians make up two and a half percent are staring to become high in business, government, military and entertainment in India. This has happened before in 1999 by burning a hospital down killing two injured children. The local government's response to the violence after the Hindu priest's slaying was halfhearted, and weeks later attacks are still flaring up.
In response to the persecution of Christians, we call upon Orissa’s police to not turn their heads away from the violence that threatens the people of Orissa. We call for Orissa to enforce the Orissa Freedom of Religion Act, and create a new law in order to stop these bad acts. We seek that a law be formed to protect the other religions targeted by the extremists, and we recommend that if the violence escalates, we seek the U.N. to send Peace Troops into Orissa. If there are religions that are threatened by extremists, the world should not let them suffer.
