I setup a trail that leads to the three things I learned in my EdTech 513 class this semester. I used whatever paper I had on hand since I forgot to bring some with me. Grab your hiking boots and follow the trail to see what I learned.
One thing that suprised me was how easy it is to accidently make a good multimedia presentation. Not that it is easy to make a good multimedia presentation, but I have made good media and I have seen people make something which is outstanding without knowing why it is so good. The problem this causes is that when they try to remake it then tend to think the wrong thing made it good. This is particularly a problem for violating the coherency principle. They think the couple of cool effects or the sound they added was what made the presentation when in reality it was that there were only a few effects.
The second, thing I learned was that I really enjoy making multimedia. I thought I might find it useful in my career but I didn't realize how much I would enjoy it.
I also learned how easy it is to embed what I make on my webpage without even needing to host it myself. It is nice to be able to embed things like YouTube videos, images, presentations, or even things like this glog.
