This graph shows in percentage how Methane is brought into the Atmosphere.
Economic ImpactsEfforts to prevent or utilize methane emissions can provide significant energy, economic and environmental benefits.
Created: Methane is created by predominantly by bacteria that feed on organic material also by wetlands, gas hydrates, permafrost, termites, oceans, fresh water, non-wetlands soils, wild fires, and plenty more. Its emitted from a variety of both human related and natural sources.Produced: Methanol can be produce by methane but the industries cannot use it, Very flammable.Enters the Environment: Invisible, odorless and combustible gas present in trace concentrations in the atmosphere. It is the major component of natural gas, a fossil fuel commonly used for heating and cooking. Pollutes: Methane is also oxidized in the atmosphere, produces different contaminants as ozone. Cost or Prevention:You can't prevent methane.Something that will cost lots of time and money to get rid of it in the environmentOur Suggestions: Methane should be banned to use on soil, It should be replace by organic production standards and for all products imported into the country to be produced based on the same standards. Also should invest public transportation of buses that use methane instead of oil like Thailand does. Environmental ImpactsUsed for greenhouse to trap heat in the atmosphere. Also an important energy source and primary constituent of natural gas.
