Antagonist = A force working against the Character. Character = living things that take the part of the story --Dynamic = under goes important change --Static = remains the same through the story Conflict = a struggle between opposing forces --external = involves one character who struggles against a force outside of them -- Internal = one that occurs within the character exposition = first stage of the story falling action = stage of a plot flashback = interruption of the present to go back and remember something in the past Foreshadowing = writer provides hints for the reader Irony= special kind of contrast between appearance and reality Mood = Feeling Narrator = the voice that tells the story Personificator= the giving of human qualities to an animal, object,idea Plot= Series of events in a story Point of view = Different kind & define refers to the method of narration used in a short story.
