Amazon Kindle
Jessica Steenweg & Chelsey Hoeppner
Amazon Kindle is a software and hardware platforn for reading e-books, blogs, magazines and newspapers, developed by Amazon.com in 2007. The Kindle has about 1.4 gigs of free space and can hold about 200 e-books. A standardSD memory card can increase that capacity to about 1,000 books. Each book will cost you about $10.00.
Each Kindle comes with a very basic web browser. There is no PC syncing needed. You can wirelesly purchase books from Amazon.com and download them to your Kindle in seconds. The Amazon Kindle has a built-in access to the New Oxford American dictionary. The Amazon Kindle also has an Electronic papaer display but it only shows black and white. It also costs alot. It cost $489 but the price is going down.
