the people from cities arrived to the country & were called the new people. They were treated as slave laborers and killed for anything like wearing glasses, crying, expressing love, and knowing another language.
minority groups were the main victims, like chinese, vietnamese, thai, cham muslims, and christians.
A camp called Tuol Sleng, which was a school contributed to creating the Genocide, by becoming a torture and exucation center.

Many people were killed working on the feilds, and farms. The killing fields are a known place. Many deaths occured there and the bodies were left or burried there.
