She shares the house, that is called the pink palace, with three other people: Mrs. Spink, Mrs. Forcible and Mr. Bobo. Coraline, in the book, has mousy brown hair and is around 12 years old. She is very brave for her age and she likes a good adventure.

Theme The theme for this book is: 'The grass isn't always greener on the other side'. Coraline thinks at first that the other world is better than the real world but she soon realizes that things in the other world weren't as they seemed. Even though she felt lonely in the real world because her parents were busy constantly she soon realized her real parents were the ones who really loved her.
I recommend this book for anyone who likes good adventure books with a good message.
