Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade
The trans-Atlantic slave trade was the trade of African people shipped to the Americas. It first started in Europe, where the traders brought manufactured goods to Africa. At Africa, they sold the goods for slaves. After enslaving the Africans, the traders would travel to the Americas to sell the slaves for raw materials such as cotton, to bring back to Europe, which is the whole motive for the slave trade.
The conditions for the slaves were horrific.
