Being a fan of comedy is very easy for me with the ammount of different styles out there to choose from there is something for everybody. There is everything from traditional acting to animation . Horror is now making its way into the comedy genre with films such as zombieland combining the two together perfectly. I think that combining two different genres makes the film more appealing to me and adds an extra element to the experience.

Genres have started to develop into new categories such as romantic comedy.The comedy and horror genres have been combined in Zombieland.

Animated comedy has become very popular since the introduction of comedy shows such as the simpsons and family guy to a wide variety of people.

I think that it depends on your sense of humour as to what type of comedy you like. some people prefer slapstic comedy and find things like people falling over funny. Personally i prefer jokes or sitcoms such as friends to make me laugh.

The Hangover is one of the best comedy films of 2009 in my opinion and uses a traditional style of comedy.

And is being used more and more in big blockbuster movies.

My favourite types of comedy are animated and traditional. i think that programmes like family guy and films like the hangover stand out for me as the 2 funniest pieces of comedy i have seen. The good thing about comedy is that each joke opens itself to different interpretations such as in the simpsons there are jokes that are aimed at adults and jokes that are aimed specifically at children.
