“It doesn’t matter how fast I run, they always catch me. It doesn’t matter where I hide, they always find me. It doesn’t matter what happens…… They will not get me this time.” -Scarlet
In the shadows you couldn't see her. She knew that and used it to her advantage. Moving across the lawn she ducked as a sensor light came on. "Shit" Crouched lower she moved to the front gate and looked behind her. Her breath became sharper and shallower, she was almost out. Almost there just another few steps. Opening the gate she slipped around and ran, her sneakers hit the road as she heard the gate slam behind her. The front door opened and she could hear someone yelling after her. The thump of her shoes on the pavement quickened as she heard them chasing her. Her hair streamed behind her as she looked for a way out. Jumping over a fence she darted into someone's garden, around the back of their house and over the back fence. She was running for a faster way out, a train, a bus, anything. She heard her follower pause and she dared a look behind her, a mistake. Tripping over the gutter she fell onto the road, a cry passing through her lips. Hissing at her stupidity she picked herself up and gasped at the pain shooting through her knees and palms. Blinking she looked around in time to see her follower bursting around the corner behind her. Cursing she took off running again, ignoring the pain. She had to get out no matter what the cost, once she got to the place the pain would be over, nothing would matter if she got caught, the pain she had now would be nothing compared to the pain she would experience. Straining her ears she looked left and right, "Where the hell is it?" taking a sharp right into the street she saw it, the Station. Pushing herself harder she ran to the station and jumped onto the train just as the doors were closing, her follower paused at the top of the steps watching as the train left. He crossed his arms over his chest and pulled his upper lip back into a snarl. She looked out the train window at him and narrowed her eyes into a glare, her lips curling into a smirk. 3 points to her, 2 to him. This was the decider but she had done it, she was free. For now. Moving through the train, blood ran down her knees dripping onto the floor. Sitting in an empty four-seat, she knew it was only a matter of time before they came after her. She had to change, pulling her hoodie over her head she pulled out her phone and dialed her number. "Hey I need a favor." pausing she listened to the voice on the other end before sighing and replying. "Look I know I already owe you one but if you do this I will owe you two." A grin spread over her face as she heard the defeat in the voice at the other end of the call. "love ya" Hanging up she slipped her phone in her pocket and put her feet up on the seat opposite her before resting her head on the window. Her mind whirred at all the things she needed to do so they wouldn't find her. They needed her back to finish what was needed and she knew that it would mean no more for her. "Ticket please" the voice of the male standing in the isle brought her back into the present and she turned to look at him. He was young, maybe late 20's early 30's. She looked him up and down, he looked different to the others in the place she had escaped, different to her. Pushing back her hood she heard the male gasp and move backwards, looking up at him she tilted her head to the side and smiled. "What ticket?" Putting her hand into her jacket she felt the cold metal inside her inner pocket and watched the male. "Look missy you are going to have to come with me for a moment" As the train pulled up to the next station she darted around him and out the door. Seeing a figure at the end of the station she let out the breath she didn’t know she was holding and moved towards it. "You know how much you owe me?" the figure pushed off their hood to reveal her face. Even though her words were snide she had a smile on her face. She shook her head and laughed wrapping her arm around the females shoulders so she could relax slightly "Yeah yeah Rosey, just get me away from here." Turning the two girls walked up the steps and slipped into Rosey’s car before speeding off just as the second train pulled into the station. A male figure stepped off the train and looked to the left and right, crouching he pressed his fingers to a dark spot on the platform. Standing he rubbed the girls blood between his fingers and sniffed it gathering her scent. She wasn’t going to escape him this time. It was two weeks before he got her last time. He snarled as he followed the path the girls had walked not five minutes ago. He stopped at the place Rosey had parked the car and growled, this was going to be slightly more difficult, only slightly though. Watching the white lines on the road she sank back into the chair and closed her eyes. “what was it this time?” Rosey’s voice brought her back to the present with a jolt as they stopped at a red light. “What was what?” without opening her eyes she answered Rosey’s question and tilted her head to the side to listen to her. “What happened to make you leave again?” Rosey’s voice was anxious as she checked in the rear-vision mirrors and the side mirrors, just in case. It didn’t hurt to do a just in case check every so often, or every couple of seconds. “They took her away and she never came back.” Opening her eyes she looked to Rosey and tried to blink back the tears that threatened to run down her cheeks. “Oh hunny you knew this was going to happen, It happens with everyone. They take them away and they either come back of they don’t” Wrapping her arm around the girls shoulder Rosey started the car again and wound her way around the streets before pulling up outside her house. “Rosey… I….” “Let’s just get you inside, you can relax and we can talk some more tomorrow. You look half dead.” Opening the door she stepped out before looking up at the house. Walking over to her Rosey linked her arm through the girls and half pulled her towards the house and inside, shutting the door behind her and locking it. Turning back to the girl she gasped and took a step back, her back pressed to the door. “What are those? Scar... what did they do to you?” Scarlet removed her leather jacket and moved into the light showing Rosey that she was wearing a small black corset with silver and purple ribbons which tied it up at the front, the corset came down to her waist to show her belly button peircing. she wore a short skirt which came down to just above her knees, the skirt was a deep purple with a black tulle material underneath. She wore black knee high boots which had 3 inch heals making her stand at 5"9'. A small choker was fastened around her neck with a small round, red stone in the middle sitting in the hollow of her neck. Her make up was dark but only around her eyes where the eyeliner was thick and the mascara was as well. Her black hair came down to her shoulders when left down. Her fringe hung to the side and covered her left eye. Her eyes were a brilliant blue with green and brown flecks through them but her clothing was not what Rosey had been taken back by, it was the wings unfolding behind Scarlet which had Rosey worried. The wings spread out from her shoulder blades and extended to either side of the hall. Scarlet looked down and wrapped her right wing around her body, stroking it lightly, her fingers danced across the black feathers as she glanced up to Rosey. “You seem surprised, I thought you knew that all level 6 and above get wings.” Her fingers traced along a gold vein under and in the feathers.
