Narciso Monturiol
Narciso Monturiol was born in Figueres Catalonia, Spain, on September 28, 1819. He got a law degree in 1845 from Madrid. After seeing a man drown in the coral fields he created the first functional sub in 1859, and died in September 6, 1885.
