Description of Problem
What services can the Media Centers feasibly provide to support Response to Intervention at the Tier 2 level? What is the best use of Media Specialists & their resources to provide individualized interventions/strategies to struggling students?
Why research RTI?
* As schools switch to the RTI (Right to Intervention) program, Media Centers must adapt to help with all areas of the school to avoid becoming obsolete. * Media Centers need to find Tier 2 interventions that they can offer to students. * These interventions should be clearly defined to ensure that the Media Specialists do not commit too much of their time. * This problem is situated within the Media Center, but concerns how Media Specialists can provide support to instruction that occurs in the classroom.
