Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
"Live as if you were going to die today. Learn as if you were going to live forever." -Mohandas Ghandi I think that this quote means that we should try to do as much good as we can in every day, like as if we were going to die tommorow, but we also have to learn why we need to do those good things and how we can live our lives to the fullest, as if we were immortal. This relates to India because the Indians had to live like they were going to die today, because it was a bad time under British rule. They had to learn to live like they would never die because if they let their anger get the best of them, then it would just lead them to an early death. They listened to what Ghandi said and followed what he did, which ultimately led to India's independence. If people these days did not live on a day to day basis, not really striving for change in their lives, they are never going to get what they want. They have to learn how to stick it to the man like Ghandi, and live their lives like this quote. People these days just do everything to get by, when they could have much better. Ghandi wanted change and he led India to independence. If everyone were more like him and followed this quote, our world would be a much better place.
Mohandas Ghandi
