This time of year marks the season when people all over the world celebrate the return of the light to their lives.
Some people celebrate the literal return of the light at Yule (or the Winter Solstice) which marks the longest night of the year.
Others celebrate a symbolic return of the light at Christmas, Hanukkah, or another religious holiday. Regardless of the origins of these beliefs and rituals, now is the time to reflect on how we are all joined by light :
The life-giving rays of the sun. . . The twinkling lights on an evergreen tree. . .
Here’s hoping your holiday is filled with light and love, now and throughout the New Year.
The blazing Yule log. . . The flickering candles in a menorah or kinara. . .
The light of peace, love, and joy dwelling within our hearts.
