Ghana wins independence Freedom for the gold coast will be the fountain of inspiration from wich other african colonial territoies can draw when time comes for them to strike for there freedom.................. Kwame NKrumahs prediction came true in the 1957 NKrumahs (en Kroo muh) led the gold coast to independence. the nation then changed its name to ghana.... With NKrumahs as prime minister ghana served as a model for manny other african nations that wanted to shake of colonial rules................................
