History: the word 'appreciate' came in many different forms. Beginning in 1650 the word meant, high estimation. In 1655 it changed to, esteem or valued highly. In 1789 the meaning changed to, to rise in value. Lastly, in 1858 the meaning became, expression of one's estimate of something (usually favorable).
*Appreciate* (Verb) 1. To be grateful or thankful for. 2. To be fully conscious of.
Synonyms: admire, enjoy, value. Antonyms: disreguard, overlook, neglect.
I chose this word because i think it's important to be appreciated and it feels good to know you did something right.
