LEVERS

First-class lever
These brakes are used to operate the braking mechanism found on top of the wheels. To stop the wheels from turning, the force applied on the effort part of the lever pulls on the wire directly connected to the fulcrum which then applies more tension on the brake mechanisms on top of the wheel to bring the wheels to a complete stop from turning.
This task of stopping the wheels from turning through requires a lot of force. thus the need to use a lever to reduce the force needed to complete the task.
