Overuse of this treatment can cause serious implications as well. The abuse of androgens in sport is also an issue with some elite athletes and body builders using extreme doeses. Athlete's are breaking the rules when using testosterone and could get in serious trouble. Long term affects for using testosterone; on the body particularly for prostate cancer and cardiovascular diseases are a huge concern.
*Problems with using testosterone as a performance-enhancing drug is its undesirable side effects. It tends to increase the size of the man's prostate gland and decrease the size of his testicles. It also produces wide mood swings that may have aggressive feelings. *Women who have series of procedures to change their gender are required to take testosterone over a period of months to stimulate the development of male sex characterisitcs. They must continue to take testosterone supplements for the rest of their lives
My own opinion
My personal opinion about testosterone is that some people do need it and its a good thing to have when you need it. The people who are misusing testosterone shouldnt be, the side effects and causes that can occur from misuing the drug can lead to serious complications that would be unfortunate to have from using the drug to your own advantage
