Deep Feeling By: Lew Duffey I sometimes have this feeling from deep inside. I feel like I want to run and hide. I ask myself, “What am I hiding from?” Fear beats through my soul like a beating drum. When I ask myself this I can give no reason I find none, for it comes in any season. The fear is something I feel when I stray from God’s path. I think the fear is that I will know his wrath. But why did I stray from this beautiful way? Why is it that I am tempted to stray? For the pathway he sent me on leads to eternal glory. Knowing that tomorrow, today will simply be history. He guides me when I follow his lead. Yet, there are times when I feel that I do not need I do not require his lead and guidance to see me through. His love and compassion is sometimes is not appreciated And our souls at these times are truly depreciated. God’s wrath comes slow and love endures. He saves my soul and he will save yours.
I chose the poem Deep Felling by Lew Duffey because the story is about saving lives and defending something (which I’m not sure what it’s defending) and when you read the poem, it actually makes a feeling of it’s own and take away your angriness so that you feel better.
