Dear Kim Soon, How is life at K.L. these days? I have not seen you for a long time ever since you moved there. Singapore got messier and dangerous to go out alone as alot of people are rioting . They all started rioting because of some displeasure and disagreement with the British. I will riot with the people as well because I hate them.
The reason why I hate them is that we chinese students have no say in speech or meetings. Many countries broke away from colonialism so I strongly feel that Singapore should stand up and fight against the Bristish to gain independence. Singapore should be freed from western powers!! The British are unfair to the Chinese Singaporeans, we are not treated equally due to the fact that we might spread anti-British feelings. They also think that they are from a superior race and that we chinese are considered lowly humans. We are discriminated!!!!!!
The chinese schools are only allowed 5.8% of the education budget, less than the english schools which took 79.8%. The feelings the chinese students felt could not be solved by giving a single solution. The feelings of injustice and hatred are very strong in each one of us. The British should die!!! We shall stand up and fight for our rights!!!
Currently, there was another disagreement with the horrible British. The stupid British forced us to join the National Service for males aged 18 to 20. Alot of us do not want to go even if they had to jail us. We were not willing to defend the colonial government which ignored our needs. We all rather rot and die in jail than letting the cruel British use our lives to protect themselves. We do not want to protect someone we hate and treated us badly so all of us, the Chinese students, had come to a decision to present our petition to the British Government. We just wanted to remain peaceful instead of using violence but the stupid Government called the police to beat us up and chase us away.
So we started rioting, it is not our fault that we started the riots, it is the stupid British who cause this. The British were uncivillised as they used violence solved problems. Some superior race they are!!! We ended up all beaten up and hurt and they brought us to jail. We Asians must unite and fight for peace!!! We must overthrow the British!!!
