Embers, Stars, and Clouds Embers and stars are useless things, For those who would live in light, Yet clouds are frail and usless for those, who choose to embrace the night. Embers glow with sleeping fire, Alluring to those of the dark, And stars are a promise, a wish of the night, Their beauty the song of the lark. Yet those of the sun shall fail to see, The beauty of things that fade, They'll simply wait untill they may say, At last the Piper's been paid. A cloud is a dream, a fragile hope, That all who wish may share, Though some say they flee and vanish at night, Those of the light know they're there. Embers and Stars are beautiful things, For those who dance in the night, But clouds are best for those who rest, Will always be spent in the light. Christi Kamierki
