Saint Bernadette is the saint of immaculate conception. She spoke words mainly involving penace and poverty, because she too was poor. She shows us that the true riches are not just involving money, but the mercy and love of God in her life. We should learn form her to not jsut treasure the materalistic things in life, but our faith becuase in the end, Gods llove for us will prevail.
'' I came back towards the grotto and started taking off my stockings. I had hardly taken off the first stocking when I heard a sound like a gust of wind. Then I turned my head towards the meadow. I saw the trees quite still: I went on taking off my stockings. I heard the same sound again. As I raised my head to look at the grotto, I saw a Lady dressed in white, wearing a white dress, a blue girdle and a yellow rose on each foot, the same color as the chain of her rosary; the beads of the rosary were white.''
Bernadette was born into a family of five children.. The family lived in extreme poverty, but they relied on their love and support for one another and their faith.At the age of 14, when she was gathering firewood at the grotto of Maisabielle., she has her first vision. She saw a 'small young lady' standing in a niche of a rock. She said that the beautiful lady asked her to return to the grotto everyday for 15 days Some people believed her but many thought she must be lying. Some even followed her journey, for they thought that they were witnessing a miracle.
