The Mesopotamiam Wheel
The wheel started in Mesopotamia. It was used a potters wheel, then someone came along and decided to switch it sideways. Look at it now!

The mesopotamiams are known for using the wheel for the chariot. A chariot was pulled by a horse. It was used in war, and was a huge advancement to the military. They charged the enemy, and was ready for a quick, clean kill.
The wheel was used for a water wheel. This was good for irrigation. It was one of the larger examples of the wheel.
The wheel was good for transporting things. A wagon was a good example of a way that the wheel made transporting things a lot easier

The wheel has evolved from a pottery wheel to carts to CDs to toys to rollerblades! The wheel is still used for transportation today; cars, trains, bikes, scooters, planes, buses, so many more! There are thousands of uses for the wheel!
