It is a world, Meaningless to sight without observation, Lifeless to breathe without meaning, Lost to the love which never came. Searching wherever oceans waves flow, The illuminated earth by day, The desolate sky by night, Finding nothing but empty shell, Holding only the expected emptiness, Yet beholding their anticipated beauty, Makes make the while worth waiting. 'Tis a world, Measured by fleeting moments, Moments holding emotions, Given to us by truth which makes us human. I continue, Aspiring what seems consistently missing, Love; fleeting the grasp of my clenched fingers, Caching only shards of broken hope. Mending pierced flesh, Constructing from what is left. I continue. Eyes set wistfully forward. Forgetting days of yore, Knowing days shall come. Knowing life shall continue, Know I will continue. Knowing I must continue. . .
'Tis A World
