Roxiecodone and you
A.K.A. Hydroodone.
1) Hydrocodone (Roxie) is a semi synthetic opioid (narcotic) derived from two of the naturally occurring opiates, codeine and thebaine. 2) Because the drug acts on the brain, its major side effects are central and include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, euphoria, lighheadedness and confusion 3) During the past 20 years the use, sale, and abuse of this drug has greatly increased.
7) Hydrocodone and other prescription medicines can be as harmful as illicit street drugs when abused or combined with alcohol or other medications. 8) Hydrocodone abuse begins when a person starts to use the drug in a manner in which it was not prescribed (such as taking more than the prescription instructs). 9) The person then develops tolerance to the drug, which means that it takes a higher dose of hydrocodone to achieve the same effect
4) Roxie is actually used for pain relief. But just like other drugs it has been abused. 5) Some people who have been addicted to this drug take over 30-50 pills per day. 6) The high levels of Vicodin abuse may be linked to its widespread availability—a fact that becomes even more troubling when considering the health risks of abusing hydrocodone and other prescription drugs
10) The effects of hydrocodone abuse include: Feelings of euphoria Getting “high” Relaxation and relief from anxiety Decreased mental & physical performance Bursts of energy or sometimes lethargy Itching and rashes Constipation Vomiting & nausea Difficulty urinating Slowed or irregular breathing
