The problem of low supply and high prices of oil is occuring in Southeast Asia.
Oil in Southeast Asia
The poor consumers are effected the most because they cannot afford the oil.
April 2006 the prices of oil barrels rose to $70.00 a barrel.
The problem of low supply started when oil was being overused for other things. The oil production companies saw this as an oppurtunity to sell the oil for more money.
This issue has caused finance problems for the people because they cannot afford the oil, and only the companies are making money.
Investors in the oil companies of Southeast Asia are scrambling to supply other countries with oil due to the fact no one in the country can purchase it.
