Firefly hugs and kisses
Fireflies suround me and kiss my hair. They smile and hug me and show me they care. It's hard to believe that something so small, Can give honesty, sharing, and love for all. The fireflies buzz and they light up so bright I've begun hating the sun and prefering the night. I have no way to keep these ones close, But tonights a new night and at least I have those. These fireflies fly and light up the world, They make diamonds and squares and little light swirls. I know that I now must say goodbye, With all that they bring, their loss makes me cry. So when tonight rolls around, I know I'm prepared To find some I can keep and with sisters they're shared So tonight, just tonight, to keep them from going far, I think I will catch some and put them in my jar. These fireflies light up the darkest of nights Making diamond fields sparkle and bright. These glorious things are more than just flies. That's why it hurts when I say my goodbyes.
