Our History.............. Cyprus is often refered to as ''The Gods Playground,'' because Aphtodite has said to have risen from the water near Papaho's. Archaeologists say that evidence suggjests that the first people that lived on Cyprus island appeared at 10,000 B.C. Cyprus was once one of the richest countrys in the world when copper, and bronze was selling, and their copper resources were exported. The capitol (Nicosia) was called Ledra in ancient times. The last Queen of Cyprus was named Catherine Cornaro. Cyprus has a rare species of sheep called mouflon, it is a fully protected endagered species.
