SCHEDULE A VISIT FOR YOUR CLASS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR ...
I am not confined by the walls of the library ... if it is easier for me to come to your room or the computer lab, I am happy to do that!
The middle school schedule has changed this year, and so will the library offerings. I am excited to have the flexibility to work more extensively with you and your classes on book selection/exhange as well as other projects throughout the year.
Book Selection
Since students will no longer have study halls, time for book selection and exchange will have to come from somewhere else. *schedule a class visit periodically *send down small groups of students during class time
Book Talks
I can come to your class or I can do them in the library before a book selection/exchange

Book Projects
Research Model
Warrior Run librarians worked with Bernadette to create a K12 library curriculum ... along with a new research model called PLUSS. *Plan *Locate *Use *Show *Self-reflect The goal is to make the research process consistent among grades and teachers so that students are having the same process reinforced instead of learning a new process each time. So ... if you are planning a research project for your class ... let's plan something together!
Mini-Lessons
I have tons of quick lessons that can help your students' in their research: *search strategies *paraphrasing *website evaluation *effective presentations *citing sources *taking notes *primary vs. secondary sources
Research Project Preparation
Let's work together to make student research successful. I can ... *create pathfinders *help set-up note-taking structures *teach mini-lessons on research skills *help both you and students utilize technology ... maybe try something new :) *be an extra pair of hands
