Congueror of Gaul, Roman general and statesman, ended republic, dictator of Rome
Involved with Cleopatra and supposidly had a son with her, made himself dictator of Rome, his nephew took his place after he was assassinated, was born into a regular family and his father died when he was young, and at one point on a list to be executed and he went into hiding

Assassinated on the ''Ides of March'' Which was the date in march that Caesar was warned he would be killed on and he was. He was attacked multiple times.
Julius Caesar's life is an example of a tragedy. It's considered a tragedy because all his life he worked and fought his way to the top and once he got to the peak and was dictator he was assassinated. Therefore making it a tragedy.
The biggest event before he was assassinated was Caesar making himself dictator. As dictator Caesar helped reform Rome, relieve some debt, enlarge the senate, and revise the calendar. His success angered a group of republicans who assassinated him. This sparked the final fight of the civil war which ended the Republic.
