The Shoshone Indians
Miscellaneous The Shoshone Indians were referred to by Lewis and Clark as '' The Snake Indians'' . The translation of Shoshone is '' the Valley People'' .
Food The Shoshone mostly ate berries, roots, and pine nuts, rabbit, antelope, and buffalo meat, depending on where they were they were traveling at the time. http://www.shoshoneindian.com/
Clothing Men: The men wore a breachclothe fastened around their waste in the summer. In the winter, they wore large furs. Women: In the summer, women wore an aprons. Whereas in the winter they wore fur also.
Religion The Shoshone thought of Wolf as their god; their creator. They beleived that a long time ago animals could walk or talk just like humans.
Language Oddly enough the shoshone tribes spoke a language called shoshone. the language differs from different regions just like the difference of britsh speaking english versus an American speaking english.
