The Fray, How to Save a LIfe
About Me: Hi, my name is Holden Caufield. I'm how ever old I feel like being today. I feel depressed and lonely a lot of the time. Sometimes I just don't feel like doing stuff, but only because a lot of stuff just isn't worth doing. 'I'm quite a nervous guy'' (34), and I'm also one of those very yellow guys, "it's no fun to be yellow" (89). I would actually consider myself sort of a pacifist. My brother, Allie died when I was young. I miss him very much. He wasn't a phony like mostly everyone else in this world. I also have a sister named Phoebe, she likes me a lot. "I'm the only dumb one in the family" (67). I just flunked out of Pencey Prep school. This is the fourth school I've been kicked out of, my parents probably aren't too happy about that. Anyways, "my sex life stinks" (148), and "I'm sort of an atheist" (99). "I'm the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life. It's awful" (16). When I grow up I'd like to be THEE catcher in the rye, I want to catch the kids playing in the field of rye before they fall of the cliff, just incase they aren't paying attention. (173) Oh and "I'm a very good golfer"(77), "But I'm crazy. I swear to God I am"(103). If you ever want to chew the fat or if you have any goddam questions then we should get a drink or something. But, don't be phony!

Interests: -Allie -The screen-writer Ring Lardner -The Great Gatsby -Sex -Carousels -Fencing -The Museum -Little kids -Getting stinking drunk -Nuns -James Castle (R.I.P) -Talking about stuff -My red hunting hat -I can't think of anything else.. (tennis,checkers, lacrosse)
"I'm seventeen now..and sometimes I act about thirteen. It's really ironical because I'm six foot two and a half and I have gray hair. I really do" (9). People always tell me to act my age, but it gets boring. Sometimes I act older than my age too, though. But hey, if I stand up when ordering a drink I can usually fool the bartender into thinking I'm much older than I really am.
