"When I went back they were folded across the fence... like they were expectin' me" (Lee 58). This shows when it was Dill's last day in Maycomb, when the kids disobey Atticus and go to sneak around and the Radely house. WHile exploring they see a shadow of a man and run, while hearing a shotgun go off. While running away they had to hop a fence and Jem's pants get caught, so he just leaves them. This quote is when Jem goes back for his pants the same night and they were there folded for him.
JEM
"Run, Scout! Run! Run!" (Lee 261) This is when Scout and Jem are being chased by Bob Ewell while walking home from the halloween party. This conflict is resolved when Boo Radely comes to the rescue and kills Bob Ewell and the kids get home safely.
"It was Jem's turn to cry. His face was streaked with angry tears as we made our way through the cheerful crowd" (Lee 212). This shows confict when Jem is sad that Tom Robinson loses his case and he doesn't think it is right. He still feels this way and there is no resolution.
